“I learned from a master.”
My late Uncle Charlie founded Meade Transport Company in 1977, specializing in moving pianos, organs and other oversized pieces.
As a kid helping out, I was amazed to see how Charlie could maneuver these huge, bulky items up, down, and around in the tight spaces of historic homes across the Boston region. He wasn’t just a piano mover, he specialized in all oversized pieces. Charlie showed me how to move with brain, not brawn. He taught me valuable strategies for hoisting, leverage, and working as a team, plus how to use all of the special tools, ropes and knots needed to move any object in any home or business. I’ve passed these proven techniques on to my team members, most of whom have been with me more than 12 years.
It’s my honor to carry on the legacy that my uncle created at Meade Transport, moving the valued possessions of families and businesses throughout Boston, the South Shore, and Cape Cod. It’s a successful family-owned business built on honesty, work ethic, and genuine concern for our clients. I look forward to the opportunity to move you to your next home or office.
